In short: Big race organisation with small race feel
In full: Once again an excellently organised race that attracts top class athletes and club/ "fun runners" alike.
Love the separate runners only area at the finish together with the hot drink, pasty and fruit.
Loads of marshalls giving support and encouragement all the way around.
Superb start/finish on the Hoe but that does mean a cruel hill to get back up there.
Done it for the last 4 years and always put in next year's diary as soon as the race is finished.
Even helped to rescue some of their flying gazeebos the evening before!!

In short: Plymouth does it again, every year they turn out one of the best organised and runner centred half marathons around.
In full: It’s obvious that Plymouth is organised by runners; from the £2.50 (that goes to charity) to change your number if injured right through to the finish area – all that food to scoff (I’m sure a pasty is full of carbs! not convinced well plenty of flapjacks instead). Results up pretty quick and available in Excel format rather than crappy PDF – so much easier to filter so as to pick out club-mates and competitors
Course unlikely to be PB for most but just sets a goal for next year. One really small criticism the chips directly attached to shoe laces bit awkward after race.
Again a plea to commercial race organisers to see Plymouth in action and take points on board.

In short: absolutely brilliant from beginning to end!
In full: How about a few more age group categories for us aging ladies? Are there not enough O60's out there to make a separate category?

In short: great day - even the weather held off!
In full: Well organised with good field. Organisation faultless.
Route challenging enough to let you know and typical SW finish with a hill.
Looked after runners at end!
Come on 2008!

In short: Excellent organisation, and great value, but tough hills.
In full: Very well run event. Well supported, marshalls were fantastic, giving lots of encouragement. Goody bag really worthwhile, and the only race I know where you get free food and drink afterwards and can relax in a runners only enclosure and have a free massage. View at finish is inspiring. Course is challenging, with three nasty hills, one of which is in the last mile. Not likely to get a PB unless this is the only half you run. Good website, and full results were available on the same day as race.

In short: Excellent organisation, well marshaled and good support throughout. Killer Hill at Haye Road for the turn back into Plymouth. Excellent Goody bag with well laid out competitors area at start & finish, not sure how good a pasty is for recovery food?
