In short: Another corker from Petts Wood Runners - thank you guys.
In full: I love this race - have done it every year since it started - came last this year - huge thanks to the Paul (just call me Dave) and Andy for their support on the way round - if only they hadn't made me laugh so much I might have been able to do it a bit faster!

In short: Interesting course, very well-organised and exceptionally friendly
In full: Great organisation and a fab atmosphere with lots of variety along an undulating course.

A footbridge with steps either side and some narrow paths made for some congested sections, so this is one to savour rather than aim for a PB. It's a tad frustrating that some runners didn't slot in behind the person in front as even in the most narrow sections there would have been enough space for an overtaking lane but that's more down to individuals rather than the event.

Will definitely be back, well done and thanks to the organisers and great local support.

In short: Well organised and friendly event
In full: Particularly liked the support at mile 4½ from the locals and quite a friendly bunch of people. These 10k races don't last too long, so not a lot more to say!

In short: Great race with fantastic support
In full: Loved it! Very pleasant 10K. Nice route, very supportive marshalls (great to see some familiar faces), friendly gorilla (and a great name to boot - Woody!)

Shame about the problem with the race packs (but I guess the Post Office were very happy with the extra cash they made) - but all in all a great race - well recommended!

And finally - fantastic medal!

Well done PWR!

In short: Excellent race!
In full: This was my first 10K (well first race full stop actually!) and it was a brilliant race!

As others have said the organisation was excellent, the marshalls so encouraging (I too liked the marshall in the bushes letting us know our time at half way, as being a complete beginner I forgot to set my stop watch with all the excitement of the start. I also laughed at the marshall who told me they'd put the 9K marker on upside down by mistake!), the water stations were great and the spectators very uplifting (some of the loud people in the woods were my family and friends!)

Since this was my first race, I can't compare the medal to others, but it's very smart.

The gun results were up on a board incredibly quickly after the last runner crossed the line. And the chip-time results were on the PWR website within hours.

I only live 5 minutes down the road, so I'd done a bit of research on the terrain and wasn't surprised by any of the uphill parts. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of down-hill though. It was definitely not as scary as I had imagined for a beginner.

I was pleased to get round in just under an hour and hope to beat that next year!
