In short: Forget about running around industrial areas or housing estates - this is what running is all about.
In full: Brilliant race and this should be a race that all runners run at least once in their life. Forget about uninspiring routes around drab industrial areas and housing estates (Kilomathon organisers are you listening?) this route takes you across one of the most stunning (and potentially dangerous) landscapes in the UK. It isn't dangerous of course because the organisers have taken care of everything. It's well marshalled, the route is well-marked. There are frequent enough water stops and the coastguard are on-hand if anything does go wrong. A nice medal this year in lieu of a t-short (good decision in my opinion.)

We came up from Cheshire en masse this year (18 of use) and we all had a great day out. The glorious sunny day helped in this respect and even the queue on the M6 south afterwards couldn't dampen our spirits.

Many thanks to the organisers and volunteers for another fantastic race! Hopefully see you next year.

In short: Great fun!
In full: Loved this race - really enjoyed wading through the rivers and wet feet helped me to keep cool in the glorious sunshine. First time doing the race but will be back. Can't really PB at this one though as the distance was a bit short :) Fantastic race, everyone should do it once!

In short: A stunning setting and glorious weather for it!
In full: Only my second half marathon and very glad I signed up - I loved it. My only disappointment was with the runners that dropped paper cups after the water stations as these quickly got blown away to litter the bay.

In short: Unique!
In full: A superb event. Scenery glorious and fun factor tremendous. A special mention to the organiser though as attention to detail was incredible. A brilliant day out, thank you to all the marshalls and safety people.

In short: The best half marathon. My third year on the run and I'm already looking forward to next year.
In full: Challenging, but very rewarding. Fast today with less wind than last couple of years, but the 3 min wade obviously slows things a bit. I adore this race. My only minor gripe was the chip timing introduced this year - I didn't realise it didn't take into account your start time, so lost 40 secs ambling to the start line. A huge thank you to all involved in the organisation of the race. Thanks for letting me run on the blue bits of the map.

In short: very well organised on challenging terrain . Safety aspects very good
In full: wasn't sure which shoes to wear... I wore my old road trainers and of course got blisters with the water and that I was no longer used to them.. Lots of salt water all the way , but ther ridged sand was perhaps best with trail shoes ...?

In short: Fantastic race, beautiful scenery and really well run.
In full: This was my first half, and I loved it. Definitely intend to be back. Also really chuffed with the medal. (I am a medal collector not a t-shirt collector!)

I was close to not been allowed to finish, and do think mentioning on the website an idea of the time you've got to get it done would be useful for future years. This however was my only, (very minor,) gripe in what was a smoothly run, well organised, exceptionally friendly, generally fantastic, race.

Everyone should have a go at this at some point in their running lives.

In short: Great
In full: Great race we were lucky with the weather only headwind was at about 11 1/2 miles, The cource was short but in this sort of race it does not matter!!!I stoped off here on my way to Scotland just to run this and will try to get my running club up next year. If could say one thing about this race it's try it!!! I'm off for a pint now with my new found northern chums.
