In short: Cold conditions but excellent race
In full: I ran a p.b. so I thought it was a great race. Picturesque village with shops to keep the family entertained whilst I ran.

In short: Good PB race
In full: Sleet was coming down at the start but the capricous weather soon turned and the sun came out - I think some people were caught out by that and layers were discarded on the way round. The course is nice and flat and the start is very quick and it is easy to get carried away early on. The organisation was fine and the marshalling was good and the right places. It was a bit dispiriting having runners come back towards you on the way to the turn point, and also having to run an extra lap at the end past the finish -I'd prefer to do three laps at the start but that would concievably create conjestion and be a nightmare for the distance markers. All in all a good event - I got and PB but didn't run the best race - I will will come back wiser next year. Best medal I've had as well.

In short: Freezing wind but worth it just for the medal!
In full: Cold windy weather kept a lot of the spectators away (in the shops maybe?!), but still felt welcoming, including the hardy few who stayed to cheer in the last runner! The out and back bit made me run a little faster when I spotted a greying, wizened elderly gent running for home as I was still heading for the turn-round point! Achieved my target time with 11seconds to spare, so can't complain!

The medal is gorgeous - the best one in my collection, and well worth the effort!

In short: Fab picturesque race with lots of smiley marshals
In full: Thanks to the organisers & marshals for making this such an enjoyable event. A little confused with having to get into lanes on the last couple of circuits round the village (I can't think & run at the same time!) but delighted to get a pb. Thoroughly worthwhile altho my other half thought I was mad!

In short: Freezing cold but fun. Had to run fast to keep warm!
In full: Stood shivering at the start with the snow falling. Set off gently as muscles has ceased up! A nice paced run with beautiful scenery. The long part out of the village and back was off-putting though as you could see the faster people coming back the other way! Having to run one lap past the finish at the end was tough. Really nice medal - quality :-)

In short: back for a 2nd year - another belter, and the new PB to boot!
In full: Fantastic race, yet again, and one I think I'm going to have to do every year. Another PB for me, to finally beat the PB set here last year. Thanks and congratulations to everyone who made the event so enjoyable.
