In short: Great marshals, atmosphere & enough hills to make for a nice challenge at the end of summer In full: Really nice atmosphere, well marked track, really nice scenic route (that was only a little muddy thanks to the weather), jelly babies on the way round, samosas to finish & a band playing in the woods around the 7km mark! :)
Will definitely be back to race again next year. Date of review: October 17, 2014
In short: Great organisation, challenging course and great atmosphere In full: My second year at Petts Wood, having braved the monsoon in 2013. This year the weather was much kinder and allowed the other addons, such as live music and beer tent, to happen.
It's a tough course, for sure, but one to look forward to grappling with every year.
I was particularly pleased this year to see that some of the minor concerns I had had in 2013 had been addressed in 2014. To me, this shows a real keen eye for detail in ensuring that runners have the best possible experience they can on the day. Specifically, this year the baggage tent was much bigger and better organised.
I'll definitely look to be back in 2015. Date of review: October 17, 2014
