In short: lovely scenery, good organisation, friendly In full: Well worth doing, nice country route just a couple of short hills. Friendly atmosphere, water stations well postitioned. Good refreshment facilities and parking not a problem. Date of review: January 14, 2007
In short: 5th time! In full: A regular cross-pennines trip for the lads - and as always a good run out at the start of the year. Better organisation at the start this time, and no pirates with no numbers running as it filled up a couple of weeks ago. Good course, only slightly lumpy - sure that 5th mile's long though! In short: My compliment for a very well organised event. In full: The route is not hard - just enough hills to keep the heart rate going a bit - but nothing too taxing. I believe the route suited all types of runners - from the beginners to the elites. I thoroughly enjoyed the run and will come again next year, 14/01/2007.
In short: A good day had by all In full: Start a bit of a lottery but once you got going then everything was fine. Good choice of prize a lot more useful than just another t shirt. Date of review: January 9, 2006
In short: Silly at the start, but a good start of the year race In full: Building work at the school meant a daft start, which could be avoided by starting on the road (assuming the police would agree). Good, scenic course with a sting in the tail. Getting popular - many e/d runners turned away - some of whom ran numberless - idiots. Date of review: January 8, 2006
