In short: Challenging but Satisfying
In full: Despite reading the forums beforehand I am not sure I was prepared for the number of inclines in this race. Thankfully sensible pacing enabled a fast downhill/flat finish, was really pleased to come in under 2 hours. Marshalls were really friendly and encouraging and overall a well organised event with plenty of scenery, the first race without an i-pod and I didnt miss it at all. The race was full of club runners which made for a very fast race if you got carried away at the start. Not a race to attempt a PB but thouroughly satisfying when you cross the line. No medal but great T-Shirt and goody bag.

In full: very fast run, runners not very friendly. Would have hated it as a first time half...but organisation, marshals and scenery excellent.
I love off road and don't mind being at the back so for me, it was great. Still can't get used to the runners in the UK and surrounds that are so unfriendly though.

In short: Great views, big hills, hard but rewarding
In full: Doing this as build up to Berlin Marathon, was going to do another 4 miles afterwards but running this hard it was never going to happen! Great goody bag - beer went down well later on too. Well worth doing.

In full: Fantastic race .My first half .Are they all this good? The bar has been set high for my next one in a couple of months.I would wear trails next year tho as i found the stones on the way down a bit hard on my poor feet.

In short: Fantastic race
In full: Best scenery ever in a race. Hills painful but a real test which is what I needed. Close to pb but couldnt quite manage it. Overall my favourite half, and expect to be back.

Also should just mention my wife did (and loved) the 3k fun run Her debut as a runner and she got the bug!
