In short: My 4th Knacker Cracker. Clearly I love it! Only missed once when in Madrid. Regretted that!

In short: Great way to start the year - lots of hard, muddy hills. Glorious in the frost and sunshine. Well organised and very friendly. I've never seen so many costumes in a race before. Best Yet!!

In short: So many in fancy dress made it great fun. Forget any thoughts of a time, just enjoy the madness!

In short: Excellent event. What a great start to the year!!
In full: Wish I'd eased back on the New Years Eve imbiding as the first hill just about finished me! However, after that just went with it and got carried along with the camaraderie. Awesome turnout of runners in fancy dress. Well marshalled and very well received hot soup and roll at the end. Will be back next year!

In short: Deserves its reputation as the best
In full: It's hard to describe how much fun this race is in spite of the ridiculously tough hills. The going was made particularly tough thanks to the amount of mud around meaning it was impossible to get any grip on most of the third climb. But it's the fancy dress and cameraderie that make this one of my favourite races ever.

I might be avoiding any stairs for a few days though.

In short: Best race of the year!!
In full: My third time and just as great as ever. I'd recommend it to anyone but if you are going to give it a go make sure you get some hill training in! The organisation was as spot on as ever and the marshals were very encouraging. The atmosphere was brilliant as usual - my favourite race. Wild horses couldn't keep me away - I'll definitely be back for more next year.
