In short: Wow what can I say......windy, wet, muddy but simply the best!!!! In full: Wicked race as ever Dr Rob even though it was shorter than usual it was still a great way to start 2014. Thanks to the excellent marshals in that hideous weather as they were all smiling. Yes I'll be back as usual next year but in the meantime it's the Midsummer Munro next in June. Always a number one race to me............Go Dr Rob!! Date of review: January 2, 2014
In short: First time at the Knacker Cracker and definitely won't be the last In full: My first Knacker Cracker and I loved the whole experience, what an incredibly insanely fun way to start the new year.
I had some last minute nerves about this event as I'm a slow runner who isn't all that good with hills - yet. My nerves were unfounded however as there was a good mix of abilities and plenty of encouragement and support from spectators, marshalls and other runners.
Thank you to the organisers, volunteers, spectators, photographers and other runners for making it an event to remember.
In short: Well worth the entry, definitely a great way to start the new year. In full: Entry might seem steep, but remember some of it is for charity. The scenery, atmosphere, organisation and also the goody bag are all most certainly top shelf.
This race sells out for a reason, because it's awesome.
It is a bit of a lung buster, but you will be glad you did it. Date of review: January 2, 2014
In short: A magnificent and masochistic start to the year. In full: Not even the biblical weather could dampen the spirits of this year's Knacker Cracker. The course was tough, particularly in the torrential rain, but the atmosphere of the runners and volunteers is first rate. A fine start to the year. Date of review: January 2, 2014
