In short: Muddy, cold race with warm marshalls and tea! In full: I didn't feel like i'd run 13 miles! Despite the mud and cold wind, the cheery marshalls and chatty runners made for a great race. I missed the water at mile 7-ish (mis-timed a 'take') and will be forever grateful to the chap who offered me his bottled water later on then 'pulled' me through the last few miles. I'm recently back from injury so a sub 2 made my day!! Organisation superb, encouraging marshalls and a good route. Everyone should try this race! Date of review: March 1, 2010

In short: A well organised race. Very friendly and supportive marshalls. The off road Viking Way is always the most challenging part of the course. I'll be back again next year. Date of review: March 1, 2010

In short: There is a 2 1/2 mile stretch called the Viking Way, this was very wet and muddy. This did not spoil the race and just slowed you up slightly. A great race which was very well organised. In full: Very well done to the Sleaford Striders Running Club for the organisation and a huge thank you to all of the wonderful Marshall's who stood in the freezing cold, wet and windy conditions. You helped the whole day to go very smoothly. Date of review: March 1, 2010

In short: I really love your tiger feet In full: Excuse my french but that was bloomin hard work!.
The organisation and marshalls were excellent - lots of support, free massage and free hot drink at the end, and getting in and out of the car park was a doddle.
The roads sections are superb - nice scenic straight roads with PB potential. The viking way was the toughie though - I know why we're not all speaking Danish now - it must have been raining when the longboats landed. It definitely makes getting to the finish line a lot more satisfying.
I shall be back next year in the glorious 25 degrees sunshine with bigger and more colourful balls
