In short: Fantastic course, amazing organisation - my top race! In full: What a superb race, the course is absolutely "top drawer" with most of it in glorious, picturesque lanes and completely flat with a few inclines in the last few KM but nothing too bad. Organisation was like clock-work, friendly supportive marshals throughout and the goody bag was fantastic and a great value race - Tech-TShirt, Great Medal and many of the marshalls had jelly babies too!
I will definitely be back, by far my best race to date and great value! Date of review: September 7, 2014
In short: Superb In full: Wonderful race once again; fifth time running it and still my highlight of the racing year. Fantastic organisation, great support, lovely little touches. Thank you to all involved and well done Date of review: September 7, 2014
In short: Highly suggest entering, you won't be disappointed. In full: Ample on site parking. Good amount of toilets at start. Well organised, good race village. Lovely crowd support. Bottled water every few miles and some marshals had jelly babies. Mostly flat. Miles 11 and 12 does incline, but this was my first half and I survived. The last half mile is a welcome downhill. The organisers kindly helped with access for my grandparents. Great technical top and medal, really cannot ask for any more for the price. Date of review: September 7, 2014
In short: Chippenham Half a winner again !! In full: My sixth Chippenham Half and once again it didn't disappoint. I'm probably a bit biased, as it is very close to my home but this race is just so well organised and provides a great route for both novice and experienced runners. The marshals, of which there are many, are brilliant, giving great support. For a race of 2,000 runners, it has a very friendly and 'local' feel and is very good value with a tech shirt to add to my collection. Looking forward to next year. Well done to all the organisers, marshals etc. Date of review: September 7, 2014
In short: In full: As it was my first HM it was excellent, the crowd were very supportive as were the marshals. I would recommend this HM to any beginner as its mostly flat some say the hill at the end was hard but hey I just ran 12 miles I wasn’t about to let a short hill stop me from running the last mile. In short: Nice run in the country, but the hill at the end was tough! In full: Ran this for the first time in 2013. It was a bitterly cold day, and very hard to keep warm in the field where we started from. Running at a rate of around 12 minute miles, I found there weren't many people with me as most were ahead. Final few miles I hit that big hill, which seemed to finish me off, apparently not quite last but I had a big announcement over the loudspeakers and Sportcam were there to take pictures of me finishing the race. Some great support around the route from the Slinn Allstars running club. Date of review: November 2, 2013
