In short: Its a good course, as people say, the start ruined it a bit...
In full: I did this race last year, it was my first ever competitive race and I really enjoyed it, although at the time I thought the start seemed cramped.
Having done many races since and coming back to this one, especially with an additional 300+ runners this year, the start was a bit ridiculous. As previous people have commented, no organisation of slower/faster runners and no chip timing meant a potential PB course was ruined for me, I lost at least a minute at the start. The course is still good, but generally, the race could be so much better.

In short: Ridiculous start - Dangerous!
In full: 1300 odd runners on a narrow road with no chip-timing and no attempt by the organisers to get slower runners to the back. There were loads of fallers. As part of the Cheshire Grand Prix Series, this is an important race for Cheshire clubs but it's just not suitable for racing. It was ridiculous. Don't do this race until they organise chip timing. If they do then it's well worth doing.

In short: Generally well organised - will be back in 2010
In full: Start was not great, but that all depends on how seriously you are taking the event.
Apart that that minor hiccup well marshalled general organistaion good, plenty of parking nearby - I will be back next year

In short: Chaotic and dangerous start
In full: The start was badly organised. It was dangerous and chaotic. Too many people for the narrow road on which it started and too many slow runners too near the front. Great shame as the rest of the event is brilliantly organised. Also, with a field as big as this it should be chip timed! I think Cheshire AA should consider removing this race from the Grand Prix circuit unless the start is sorted out properly.

In short: Flat, enjoyable 5 miler
In full: I liked this one as it's flat and speedy...I do think it should be chipped as there were over 1300 starting....Facilities were great..cakes, tea etc....a good race.

In short: Dangerous Start! I was another runner who went down but was lucky not to get trampled. Other than the start it is a well organised race. .
