In short: Lovely setting - definitely 'challenging'!
In full: As others have said, the organisation was quite relaxed - very friendly though and very impressive how quickly the results went up! There are some very unforgiving hills in some very unforgiving places (right at the beginning when you're trying to get into your stride and right at the end when you don't have that much left in the tank) but I'll certainly be back next year, just to get my own back on it!!!
Well done the 10 milers, don't quite know how you did it!

In short: I thought this was a 10k????
In full: When we entered this earlier in the year we understood that it was a 10k, so imagine my surprise when we found out it was actually a 10 miler (gulp). With my husband unable to run for the last month due to injury, i ended up carrying the flag, though the organisers did swap Kev's entry to the 5k, but unfortunately in the end Kev decided not to risk his ankle and instead stepped in to the role of cheer leader/photographer (again).....

The race was hard and I was soon towards the back - I had practiced a few times for a 10k on the "old" route so was confident that I could (slowly) do the first hill, but was not so sure about the second main hill which we noticed after downloading the new route kicks in at the 7 mile mark. Whether it was psychological or not having practiced that second hill I ended up walking that section - but that last down hill section towards the finish - wow that was great. Got up to 9.5mph which I have never done before and was pleased to get under the 2 hour mark (just) arriving just as the organisers were beginning to pack up (though there were still several people behind me).

Nice race, would definitely do it again. One gripe - Kev said he saw people walk away with goody bags. So many times I have gone to races and there are never enough goody bags to go around, so the people who are towards the back always miss out. Why oh why - we can't all be fast - and it would be nice to know what is in them..... also would have been nice to have some fruit at the end as well.

The Runners World blurb mentioned that all runners got a medal and t-shirt - there was definitely a t-shirt, but no sign of any medals.

In short: What a great race.
In full: I ran the 10 miler and I honestly would say this was one of the best organised and prettiest events I have been to. Well done Dorking and Mole Valley Athletics club it was a great event

In short: A good but tough start to the day!
In full: A hard but rewarding run within a beautiful setting. The organisation was spot on and the marshals very supportive. Not sure why I got a ladies deodorant in my goodie bag!?

In short: Challenging but the scenary sure makes up for any pain.
In full: You won't get a PB but you will enjoy a challenging run which is slightly testing but is not ball breaking in lovely fab conditions. Slightly flawed: My husband's race number for 10m was given to somoene else and he had to fill the forms in again and we were already very late because of car woes. Considering this race had children in it, I'm not too sure it was a good idea for it to be unmarshalled. I would have preferred to have known the route in advance, it was not published. ALL in all, a lovely springtime race with plenty of opss for stop offs en route home via darling pubs.

In short: A good way to celebrate Spring
In full: This is a challenging 10-miler that rewards the strong-hearted with excellent views after some lengthy climbs. The combination of this event with the Fun Run and 5K made for a good family atmosphere, without taking away from the serious intent of the front runners. Well done to the organisers.

In short: if you like running in glorious countryside then you'll love this race
In full: I thought this was a fantabulous race - very well organised, clear route markers and cheerful marshalls, stunning scenery and a great combination of a couple of tough ascents and tough descents......

I will definitely be back for more of this next year!
