In short: Fantasic Event- one that everybody should try
In full: This was my first attempt at a Marathon and it was a brilliant event to try. I couldn't fault anything . The atmosphere and support around the course where some of the best I have ever experienced. Thanks again to the people of Chester see you next year

In short: What a well organised enjoyable race.!
In full: I had a fantastic day on this one.!
Organisation was top, the crowds and support were heartwarming...the lanes and scenery and little villages the race passes through were lovely, and the PB potential is on .
A great medal and goodie bag too, and quality long sleeve T.
What a smile this race left on my face..100% ill be back next year.
Anyone would enjoy this one..seasoned marathon runner or first timer.
Drinks,toilets gels, all plentiful.

In short: A tough race brings great rewards. This did just that!
In full: Beautiful weather for the race, great race HQ which would have been well suited for all weather with the indoor areas. Route was hilly and enjoyable. Although some areas are very remote is using public support as a boost is important. All in all a great race and one already booked in for next year!

In short: Really enjoyable marathon
In full: This was my first marathon and I really enjoyed it. The countryside was beautiful, and it was ace going into Wales. The supporters were brillipant and really uplifted me. The organisation was truely excellent with lots of drink and water stations. There were a couple of hills, but nothing that bad at all. I got a sub 4 hour for my first marathon, which I was thrilled with. My partner took 20 mins off his pb, so definite pb potential. Cannot recommend highly enough!

In short: Loved it last year, so did it again this year.
In full: Not as flat as some marathons with challenging undulations. Scenery and support from residents in rural areas fantastic.

In full: Fantastic race, clearly organised by runners for runners. The hills in the 2nd half weren't as bad as I thought they'd be. Great support from the enthusiastic marshalls & crowds in the local villages. Great T shirt. Great race. See you next year Chris & Andy!

In short: First marathon and couldn't imagine a better introduction.
In full: The reviews from previous years tempted me to do this run and I am delighted to say it lived up to expectations. The organisation was first class from start to finish. The availability of water, isotonic drink and gels at such regular intervals made fuelling easy and I didn't need to use my own gels etc.

The support from the spectators was awesome and the goodwill from the people of Chester and surrounding villagers was brillint, particularly as their roads had been shut. They provided timely encouragement that made this run a pleasure. Finally a massive thanks to the Marshalls around the course who were fantastic and to Andy & Chris for making my first marathon so memorable.

In short: a little gem of a race
In full: I am SO glad this didnt clash with liverpool this year
Top organisation with parking snd enough toilets and an organised covered village
Totally closed roads, well stocked aid stations(properly laid out in a line with a bin at the end to get rid of rubbish-shame some of the runners chose to ignore that)
You can get a good time here but even a six hour marathoner got a big cheer acrosss the finish line!

Loved the racecourse finish, love the medal and the long sleeved techy T shirt
Will be back!

thank you Andy and Chris!

In short: Well organised and enjoyable race.
In full: Beautiful route although rural can mean low level of crowd support in places, but marshalls and other volunteers were great and encouraging throughout. Easy first half but more challenging second half. Train well and you will enjoy this race.
