In short: This is the most scenic half marathon I have ever done and I loved it!! In full: The run up the Orme was amazing and a real challenge.I enjoyed the race and thought everything went very smoothly. There was a long wait though at the end for medals and water, I waited 20 minutes and was freezing! I'm sure the organisers will realise there was a problem there and have more people on it next year. But what a great day!! Date of review: November 21, 2010

In short: Great race, more thought needed for the finish!!! In full: Excellent route, scenery was some of the best of any half marathon. This race has the potential to become a very popular event, maybe even one of the best half's in the country!
Shame about the finish all cramped up on the down hill into the quay area - not as if there wasnt enough space. Being made to que up for 10 mins for a t-shirt & medal was disapointing! After the option of paying a bit extra to get a sized technical t-shirt to be told a med/large is all thats available left is not very good :-(
With some slight improvements this could be an excellent event! Date of review: November 21, 2010

In short: Great race shame about the finish In full: The Conwy HM has the potential to be one of the best HM races in the UK. Okay PB potential is limited due to the relentless climb up the Great Orme -but what a scenic run - beautiful!
Well done having drinks at the top of the Orme this time. :o)
BUT ... the run to the finish line just after the cramped pavement over the bridge only wide enough for two abreast with pedestrians with kids and buggies coming in the opposite direction was a crazy finish to a race (that was otherwise largely car and people free).
Maybe this was a problem because I finished in 2 hr 15sec? Maybe earlier the walkway was pedestrian free?
Then sadly we had to wait in a 10min queue getting cold to pick up our medal and t shirt.
The finish needs to be earlier and more people are needed to distribute t shirts and medal.
These problems need ironing out because this race could be one of the best in the UK -if they did. Date of review: November 21, 2010
