In short: Enjoyed the event
In full: Thought for a first time event it went well. Sure organisers have learned and it will be even better next year!

In short: Fantastic Half-Marathon
In full: I might be biased as this is my town's new half-marathon. This first edition went really well. The only issue was the start and doing a lap that brought the runners back through the starting line when the slowest runners hadn't crossed it yet.
The course is flat and fast and definitely PB potential in sight.
The touch of being able to bid for the number and keeping it was great and something I can see getting copied elsewhere.
I will be back next year to get a new PB :)

In short: Fast course with lots of potential ...
In full: Great event on fast course. Definitely one for a pb with the right amount of training. Will be back next year with a proper training plan to make that happen !
It's been said before - only niggles are the baggage trucks (who thought those vans were big enough for 1000 bags?), the number of loos and the loop at the start.
However, for the first year a great race and a great autumn HM target race!

In short: Fast course with PB potential
In full: Really enjoyed this first Maidenhead half especially as I got a PB. Can't comment on baggage drop as used Nicholson walk carpark, and the starting loop didn't bother me - although I did notice some extremely slow runners right at the start.
Missed the 4 & 5 mile markers which was a shame so couldn't get mileage split times.
Good marshalling and crowd support (especially through Bray).

Will be adding this to my running calendar for 2012.

In short: Very enjoyable new half marathon event
In full: Thanks to PP and all of the marshalls, water stop helpers and anyone else for an enjoyable morning. Being a local to Maidenhead it was great to run a half marathon so close to home.

Despite it being an easy route in theory, I was quite a lot slower than my pb. Think might be a question of training/prep rather than anything else though.

Route was great. Unlike others, I enjoyed the first lap at the start! Meant my family could cheer me on more than once. Need to sort out the faster runners catching up before all get through start line though. Road closures worked well. Not great having to go under the main road twice, but I am not sure there is much that can be done about that. There were clear mile markers (one reviewer didn't see them).

Timing indicators at the start would be useful to help people line up in right place according to expected finishing time.

Didn't use/need baggage drop or toilets.

I plan to run every year, with my designated number.

In short: My first Half. Support brilliant, even in the torrential rain.
In full: Are there ever enough toilets...? Unlikely. Didn't use bag drop so can't comment.

The loop wasn't a problem for me, I'm slow! Although the front runners scared the life out of me as they came thundering through.

I enjoyed the course overall. Thought there would be a bit more 'off-road', personal preference.

Well marshalled. Plenty of water stops. Prefer cups.

Was disappointed at no goody bag or banana, they'd all gone when I got there. Would have been nice to have been given my medal, but I've got it!!
