In short: a quick run, with a steep hill at the end
In full: My fourth half marathan and the best in terms of atmosphere and organisation. Signed up late but recieved pack and chip in preperation for event well in time. The different waves were great and meant that I was with people of a similar speed which helped me achieve a personal best. Will be doing it again next year.

In short: To many up and down hills to contend with. An okay race
In full: The hills at about 5 miles and the one between 10 and 11 miles was to long if possible these hills need removing from route. Also just near the finish th underpass was very dark and I could not see where I was running. No directions to where Cambridge Street was for spectators.

In short: Fantastic atmoshpere
In full: A great day and a great atmosphere. Really enjoyed the whole experience. great support for the crowds all around the course. only gripe has nothing to do with the organisers, it was that there were no early trains on the chiltern line from Solihull. Otherwise it was a brilliant day and I'll be back next year. Many thanks.

In short: Great Run team do it again
In full: You do the Great Runs for the atmosphere and there was lots to go round here. lots of places for spectators to watch the race lots of music points on the course.

Could have done with a few more signs above head height in the runners only section to show where baggage & pens were.

Hill was tough but nothing anyone should be afraid of

In short: Very good
In full: Excellent race, good atmosphere, etc.

Minor gripes: would like a few more, and more obvious signs, to baggage drop off and start. Marshalls saying "Oh, it's at the NIA" as though everyone know where's that it is. Also the first train from Coventry (having driven there as the nearest feasible station and as judging by the numbers many others did) doesn't reach B'ham until 9:06. The NIA is more than the 5 mins walk from new street the info suggests and very tight timings for a 10:00 start. I know the trains are somewhat beyond the organisers control but surely train operators could be persuaded to put an extra one on 30mins earlier. (Or perhaps I'm wildly optimistic).

That said these are v minor gripes and really don't detract from a great event. Knocked 7 mins off my Cov time 3 weeks ago and a PB at that so can't complain at all.

In short: Did not know what to expect but really enjoyed
In full: This was my first ever road race and really enjoyed it and can wait to do it again and try and bet my time. The hills at about 10 miles were a killer. The Birmingham crowd were fantastic.

In short: Challenging hills in parts
In full: Excellent atmosphere with lots of spectators throughout the whole route. Organisation brilliant with sensible wave starts. Goodie bag, tshirt and medal all were all very good. My only gripe is a large part course (between 2 and 8 miles) is along one straight road (Pershore) where you run to the end then loop back on the opposite side of the road.

In short: Well organised this year.
In full: Being from Birmingham, it was a race not to be missed. It was much better than last year and much better organised.
