In short: Great atmosphere! In full: Great atmosphere created by friendly marshals and of course Tom Potson! Surprisingly scenic route with a few climbs, drops, twists and turns. Stadium start and finish and delicious Hot Pot! Date of review: December 8, 2013
In short: Getting better In full: Having had loads more training throughout the last year I am very happy with the time achieved. Brilliantly organised with vocal support from the marshals certainly helps. Overall....a great race and well worth it. Date of review: December 8, 2013
In short: Another excellent goody bag In full: Every year they excel themselves! No other race is so much effort put in by the organisers. Marshalls again so supportive all round the course - thank you! The Goody Bag alone makes it all worthwhile. Like the new course. Date of review: December 8, 2013
In short: Great fun - highly recommended In full: Thanks to all the marshals who shouted encouragement and to Tom Potson for his trout face name check. Quite liked the off road bit -ran nearly 5 minutes quicker than last year. Very well organised - thank you Stockport Harriers and Puma. Date of review: December 8, 2013
In short: Best race of the year by far! In full: The Stockport 10 is my favourite race of the year - great atmosphere, support and fantastic goody bag, including long sleeved technical t-shirt! Will be back next year! Date of review: December 8, 2013
In short: The best 10 miler just got better In full: New course this year, chopping out some of the main roads and adding more countryside. Maybe I'm just fitter than last year but the hills didn't seem as bad with the change in route on the Overdale Estate.
Well worth the trip - actually it's my local race! :-) Date of review: December 8, 2013
In short: Not the best 10 miler in the UK, the best 10 miler in the world ! In full: Yet again the brilliant Stockport Harriers pull it off, fabulous race, great weather, enthusiastic marshals and changes to the course only improve it.
Marathon Talk's (http://www.marathontalk.com/) Tony's Trials Audenshawe perfect as ever as the stadium announcer.
Really nice long sleeve tech t shirt and the best goody bag keeps on giving.
In short: A good run In full: Stockport 10 is the type of run/race where you need to train from somewhat to quite a bit. Lots of strangers/new faces but no-one takes the initiative to welcome you unless you approach them first otherwise it's a great run with an equally decent atmosphere....so long as the rain doesn't shoot it down. Overall, worth it. Date of review: September 20, 2013
