In short: Hope it continues for another 30 years at least! In full: “One of the most iconic races in the UK and Europe” certainly lived up to its reputation with Istead and Ifield Harriers really pushing the boat out for the 30th running of the event.
There was even celebration beer at the half way pit-stop!
Brilliant Marshalling and support all the way – the whole local community seems to get behind this event.
A very tough course but through some of the most scenic countryside in the south – worth taking your time to savour for those not too hooked on times.
Hope it continues for another 30 years at least! Date of review: July 22, 2013
In short: Lovely route, brilliant organization In full: A proper technical trail, very little on-road, lots of scenic pastures and woodlands, all so well marked and marshalled it was impossible to get lost. Excellent organization, great marshals, lovely tea and cakes, nice souvenir and proper goody bag and even a handshake from the race director on crossing the finish line - what's not to like? Many thanks to all who organized ans supported this. Date of review: June 29, 2013
In short: Fantastic race, marshalls and organisation In full: First time of running this race, loved it. Beautiful scenery, if you have chance to look around while tackling this tough hilly off road trail run. My partner got injured halfway round but completed it and is now considering running it again after a few days reflection. Marshalls make this race second to none and are so supportive and encouraging at every station and corner. Water stops are plentiful and sponges were a real blessing along with the Jelly Babies. Fantastic race definitely a must do! Date of review: June 27, 2013
In short: outstanding! a real challenge avoiding tree roots - which i didn't! In full: this was our (claire and me) first attempt at a long distance trail run. had an argument with a root which the tree won, spoling my event, but will be back next year with a saw!! Date of review: June 26, 2013
In short: A fantastically impressive event. Well organised, friendly & fun but with a brutal hilly course! In full: My first NDR and I'm supremely impressed. Primarily the fantastically fun & friendly event, the brilliant organisation & marshalling and the great T-shirt & Gym towel in the goodie bag (luv a nice towel). And finally impressive was the brutality of the course and how much I want to take it on again another time! Cheers to everyone involved... D :> Date of review: June 25, 2013
