In short: Third time and the best organised In full: Great organisation an dmix of town, road and paths through parkland of Audley End House. Long hill after 4K and another shorter but a killer at 9K which really catches you out! Superp goody bag this year and T-Shirt is a Ron Hill. Excellent value. Date of review: September 24, 2006
In short: Great 10k. Really well organised and interesting course. In full: This was my first 10k run. Excellent organisation meant that everyone knew where to go. Good support from marshalls and a live brass band!! It is an interesting course; very scenic although 2 long hills, one right at the end. Great goody bag with technical t-shirt. Will be back next year!!! Date of review: September 24, 2006
In short: Scenic, hilly - but fast. Great t-shirt. Needs one more water station. In full: Nice scenery. Quite a few hills, but some long downhill sections make them worth it. Only one water station at about 6-7Kish - could have done with one more water station a wee bit earlier. Great t-shirt. Very friendly. Very good value. Date of review: September 24, 2006
In short: Superb course, to suit all standards of runner. In full: A PB for me so I was pleased. Good marshalls along the route giving encouragement. Really enjoyed the route. I was lucky I had a good friend to help me along but all the other runners were friendly too. Back again next year for sure. Date of review: September 24, 2006
In short: what a brilliant organised run - great t-shirt too In full: There were loads of marshalls to help you on your way - no chance of getting lost at the back. This is a great race for beginners and elites alike Date of review: September 24, 2006
In short: Good weather good run In full: Expecting rain, but weather was ideal. Windmill hill and the hill by the field after the 9k were testing. All in all a nice race. Date of review: September 28, 2005
In short: Well done to the organisers... In full: 1st time for this race and really enjoyed it!!!! Fast paced race with great atmosphere from the cheering of spectators to give much needed support. Even the Police joined in to take the pain away from the aching limbs...
Could have placed the drinks station on a flat surface and not on a hill - difficult to drink when lungs are ready to burst...
Roll on 2006... Date of review: September 26, 2005
In short: Well organised, very scenic, but not a PB course In full: Lovely scenic route with a mix of lanes, town paths and off road parkland. A tricky course with 4 good climbs so not one for a PB but a good general atmosphere, well organised, nice t-shirt, plenty of parking, changing etc. In fact all the things you'd look for in a race.
