In short: Efficient race In full: Collecting number on the day was a risk and the queue was not to be to bad. Bit flooded on the far side of the lake, but considering weather earlier in the day it was a good day Date of review: November 25, 2006

In short: Normally a good race, terrible organisation in 2005. Willl try again in 2006 its my PB course In full: As mentioned before in other reviews the finish was terrible, I nearly stopped short and had to ask if it was the line, no Sir its 10m - ouch. Mile markers had gone. I persuaded a lot of my club to run and promised them a race that would run like clockwork and potential PB. Due to the poor finish I stood on the line urging my club mates to run to the real finish in the poring rain. The Race Director walked straight by and did not take charge of the confusion.
Last year aside this is a PB potential course and normally a good race. I will give it one more chance this year and hope all goes well!

In short: I don't care because smashed PB In full: The weather couldn't be helped and I'm eternally grateful to the MKAC people for letting me rent some space in their van for my bag. Bit disappointing that there was only a 2-mile marker and felt there was too much road and not enough Lake. However, I took 4 mins off my PB so am elated and much prefer the mug touch. In short: Poor organisation In full: Nothing could be done about the weather but forcast had been bad so some bag protection at start would be useful. Poor marsahlling on hazards (bollars), only 2 mile marker remained. No special drink at finishas promised in details. No finish line and having to run the last 10m on long grass after coming of the metalled path was dangerous -then too short a distance to filters. Despite all of this I managed to pace my wife to her new pb by 2mins. Date of review: November 27, 2005

In short: This race has lots of potential but is seriously let down by organisation In full: This race has serious potential to be excellent - the course is fast, the location wonderful and it's not too big. There are a lot of easy wins for the organisers - have a finish line, offer water at finish, more marshals on the course, organise the start better.
This race has real potential to be a pre-Xmas special. MKAC could make a real name and grow a very profitable race. Date of review: November 27, 2005

In short: Quick, flat footpath race In full: The weather was not good for the event but I thought that it was a good fast run and I recommend it. Marshalling needs tightening up. Date of review: November 27, 2005

In short: Good race as long as you accept that it is always wet and windy. In full: Water at the end would be nice as would be a bag tent (since it always rains). Date of review: November 27, 2005
