In short: Rumwell Hill is a sting in the tail but a good one lap half
In full: I ran the half marathon for the second year - not the easiest course in the world - undulating with a steeper section between 9-11 miles. Weather played it's part this year with squally showers and a stiff breeze in the face for the first half. The course is quite exposed and the scenary is a little dull at this time of the year. The outer reaches of the course has no spectators - the 2 lap marathon must be very lonely. Good organisation at the start/finish though could the start be on the widest bit if the road please. Also the start time zones were a bit bunched up so they were no help really - too many people to far farward for their pace.

In short: Second time I've done the half and its a well organised event. Must be I travelled from Norfolk!!
In full: Well done on another cracking run.Only issue I had was the start in the lay by. Took an eternity to get going! More undulating than I remembered but I put that down to senility! My target was 1:45 and I was 1:47:30 which was a PB - happy!

In short: Lonely second lap for beginners like me!
In full: Lonely second lap, so as a first marathon on my own it was a test of will.
Support at drinks & sponge stations excellent and the encouragement from the TA on the last mile made the difference.
Considering the number of full marathon entrants I thought the event overall was very good & I might convince myself to do it next year!

In short: Did half - great run, well organised, well supported.
In full: 1st time I've run this half. Took over 3 mins off my time at Bath 2 weeks earlier. Very well oganised and good crown support for a small event. Nice T-shirt and medal - great value. Would certainly run this one again.

In short: Did the half this year. JL and his team just make it bigger and better every year
In full: Elements added some fun this year through wind, rain and sun but as good a run as I expected. Cheekily playful around mile 9 and 11, well marshalled, support in any area that was populated quite good and organisation more than adequate throughout. Reasonable facilities, adequate drinks (Tho longer/more tables would help. Nice touches at finish with Hot Bovril, on site massage and good storage showers etc. Long may this event grow. Great VFM

In short: Good race well organized
In full: This was a good run the wind made the second lap hard work .Well marshalled and plenty of drinking stations although the wind blew the cups over on 2 stops.Just wonder if the cut off should be 5 hours .nice to see one of the few south west marathons well attended.

In short: Well organised and attended. Great as a measure of fitness & progress..
In full: Two suggestions to the organisers: Firstly, I'd prefer a classier, more original T-shirt & to drop the medal. Secondly, timing chips seem to be strongly indicated given it took almost a minute to cross the start line. Can this be considered for next year? I'm sure it would be a popular decision.(races such as Bideford, Plymouth & Exeter manage it - it seems a shame that Taunton don't). Otherwise, a special race recommended to others.
