In short: Excellent, despite the 'playful' weather conditions In full: As a three-time loser at Mad Dog, I'm a big fan. Certainly, the terrible headwind on the outward 2-3 miles today was pretty tough. But as always this was amazingly well organised, friendly to a fault, and complete with a fantastic t-shirt and goody bag. It's quite deservedly the best 10K in the UK. In full: 2nd year of doing Mad dog. I loved every minute and the extra bands on the course were great. I assume the inflatable start/finish line was taken down / not put up due to the wind but a running clubs checkered flag caused me some confusion as to which of the 3 plastic bumpy things? Was the finish line. I know not the organisers fault but that and I couldn't find water at the end, stopped this being my best race Date of review: February 9, 2014
In short: A race of 2 halves In full: First 5k tough in the wind, 2nd 10k flew along with wind assistance. This is my 4th year doing this now and it just gets better I can't fault it in any way, pre-race communication perfect, race day brilliant, great atmosphere despite this race being plagued with foul weather (but it is February) It's a great course usually lots more support en route but understandably low today given weather. Plenty of water along the course and at the end, great goody bag and as much fruit as you can shake a stick at. The fact all the proceeds go to charities makes it all that more worthwhile.
Well done everyone runners organisers and spectators alike see you next year for "Lord of the Fleas" Date of review: February 9, 2014
In short: Excellent organisation, best ever doggy/goody bag, fab medal and t-shirt too In full: Can you turn the wind off for next year though please - it was really tough in those gale force winds today ha ha Date of review: February 9, 2014
In short: Excellent race. Great organisation by Adrian who should be congratulated for his hardwork In full: This is without doubt a fantastic 10K race. The organisation is outstanding and Adrian deserves a big THANK YOU for all the effort he obviously puts into making this race tick like clockwork as all the others have. It just gets better each year. The communication from Adrian prior to the race is great so you know exactly where to go, which makes the day run smoothly. Despite the very cold and windy weather the Marshals always have a friendly face and provide lots of encouragement. The bands are a great and add to the tremendous atmosphere. The goody bags are outstanding and I fail to understand the previous comments of a competitor who criticised them. I don't believe you'll find a better goody bag around. Overall this is a great race and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Date of review: February 9, 2014
