In short: challenging race, need to clever with your pacing In full: Too often in the past I've kept clear of hilly runs, so this was a real challenge. Went too quickly over the first 4 miles and just didn't leave enough for those hills. For the first time ever in a race I had to stop and walk a couple of times. In short: Quite hilly for a flat race, but fun nevertheless In full: Checked the course before running and it seemed very flat, but there's definitely a few hills that ask a few questions, particularly the one at the end. No problems with organisation, and the weather was glorious for November.

In short: NIce day for it - miles 4-6 were pretty tough mentally - prefer races where there isn't quite as much tarmac pounding! Good overall though. THe hills on this course account for about 90 secs vs a completely flat course. Date of review: November 15, 2009
In short: The hills don't get any easier! In full: Mile markers were unexpected, and a "500m to go" or similar sign would have helped at the finish as it's hard to know how much further you have to go! Excellent organisation although signs on the desks for chips and then T-shirts would have been better placed on the wall as no-one could see them! This is my second time and I'd do it again - the weather helped too! Oh and I'm a plodder, got round in just under and hour. Date of review: November 15, 2009
