In short: Effortlessly organised flat, fast 10k
In full: I participated in this race last year one week prior to running the paris marathon and posted 36 36. I went on to run a 2 54 and so felt extremely happy. Again I'm running Paris in 7 days and wanted to gauge myself against the time I set on this fast, flat course. Well it may not have been as hot as last year but 34.58 has got me dreaming of some silly time in France. It helps that when running this race you have a very quick, flat start, frequent accurately measured distance markers and a VERY helpful halfway clock. The gentle uphill at 3 and a half k is nice and early in the race and then you have a gentle but prolonged downhill section where u can really pick your pace up. Even though its not the most scenic of runs I love this course. You have plenty of spectators/encouragement, its well marshalled and is a great pre marathon 10k (which I think is reflected in the large number of entries from clubs all over the south east).
Only small gripe is there could be more toilets, but nevertheless a big thumbs up!!!

In short: Great flat course makes up for lack of scenery
In full: Well marshalled event worth fitting in for PB potential. Good encouragement all the way around. Terrific turnout from a variety of clubs but also excellent level of participation from unattached runners(of which I'm one). Would highly recommend although you'd expect that from a Tottonite(of which I'm one!)

In short: Usual superb organisation, just not very scenic
In full: Excellent organisation with good marshals and a super fast course. Race HQ in a school getting a bit tatty at the edges, but thats a minor gripe. I wish all races were as well run as this one...

In short: PB potential, shame about the scenery.
In full: Scenery not much to write home about - suburbia and industrial estate - but this is more than made up for by the speed of the course which is pretty much as flat as a proverbial pancake, with one short incline - does not even justify the term 'hill'. Definate PB course - just a shame there is a few twist and turns in it. Well supported with plenty of marshalls and locals cheering on - nice atmosphere. Very well organised on the whole shame the changing/shower facilities were substandard. Gents showers stone cold and I am told the ladies showers were scolding (and filthy). Pretty much every race I do the showers and changing facilities are substandard -usually filthy and often malfuntioning -guess I shoud be use to it by now! Nice glass tumbler as memento - good for the whisky drinkers amongst the running fraternity! Paced my girlfriend around (her first 10k) and she seemed to enjoy it - so thumbs up for beginner friendliness.

In short: Excellent flat race, well marshalled. Nice mento at the end.
In full: All in all a very good morning, it was well marshalled right from the start. Parking was a bit difficult though. A nice flat course, very fast. Slight hill at 4k but its over before it starts really. P.B potential very good, (knocked 90 seconds off mine). I was very happy with this race and will be back next year.

In short: Flat, Fast, Well Marshalled
In full: A good race but dull scenery. Quick and well organised with a nice mento in the form of an engraved tumbler.

The course is a bit twisty and the finish was a little confusing as its not where we started but overall a really good day.

In short: Brilliant all round race
In full: 2nd time for doing this race, a more respectable start time than last year, very well organised, very well marshalled, nice tumbler to comemorate the 25th anniversary, good value, nice flat course...what more can one say...I'll be back again next year....Well done to all involved.
