In short: Scenic, friendly but hassle factor rules out a return for me.
In full: Nice area, very scenic, hilly race. Unfortunately, there were too many numpties who started at the front of the field and then virtually walked through the tight bottle necks. The nightmare of an hour getting out of the car park ruined the whole day. Not good enough. Finally, the XL t-shirt I had to buy is more like an L, and no, I'm not fat!

In short: Lovely atmosphere - good running for a trail race.
In full: Haven't done this before, didn't expect it to be so big. Nice touch to put the loos right on the start line! Lots of suppport. A piece of fruit, a cereal bar or even chocolate at the finish, rather than just one boiled sweet wouldn't have gone amiss. Great run though, and lovely atmosphere.

In short: Maybe not enough loos, but for those used to being in the Forest every tree is a lava-tree
In full: Found the course more challenging than previous years but did PB. Thought the marshalls and water stations were excellent,. No parking probs but local knowledge meant I wasn't on the Speech House field, I've seen what a nightmare bonfire night has been there!!

In short: Toughish Course , Well marshalled & very friendly ; Parking exit a Nightmare though
In full: Have run this last couple of years & although the downhill in first 1.5/2 miles gets you going, it always makes me feel a bit leggy for the rest of the 1st half. Echo all the comments below about lack of a Tshirt for the price of the entry fee. Good marshalling though & well done to the army cadets water marshalls . But Organisers if you are going to retain this venue , you MUST sort out the parking - ONE Hour to get out !

In short: A very good trails half
In full: A really enjoyable race with some tough muddy paths but it is March. Lovely weather this year. Last 2 miles were very tough. First run out with my new Garmin 405 CX and that was very good as well. All in all nice race with a good quality medal at the end (and a bottle of fizzy lucozade).

In short: Great fun - a very pretty & enjoyable race
In full: I had a great time - yes, more toilets needed (but at least there were plenty of trees) but otherwise a well-organised race, with lots of friendly marshalls. (Thank you!) The route was good too, hilly but not horrid.

In short: Challenging course and a bit crowded, but good run nonetheless
In full: The long uphills and muddy conditions underfoot made this race far more challenging than I remember it being last year. Very congested for the first couple of miles especially just after the start as the trails commenced - made worse by people pulling up suddenly to walk around the mud! Lovely weather and pleasant scenery. I didn't really fall foul of the "lack of loos" problem but can see this would have been a difficulty given the huge number of runners and small number of loos. Fizzy drinks at the end not the best plan either, best stick to flat drinks next time please!

In short: RATHER tough, but USEFUL training.none the less.
In full: It would have helped to have had MORE specific information about the course as it was A LOT different to what I expected. The value of the event, which I felt was poor, EXTREMELY poor was also SOMEWHAT deceiving. Surely the registration fee could have got a T-Shirt as well as a medal, for example.
