In short: Fantastic turnout and excellent organisation. A testament to the people of leeds for great numbers, braving the elements and the harsh inclines at miles 4 & 6. Superbly marshalled and well worth the training!

In short: Excellent organisation, friendly event.
In full: Everything was really well organised - the baggage check-in, the start, the frequent water stations, the marshalling. It made me proud to be a Leeds resident (and a Leeds City Council employee.)

In short: A race of 2 halves, uphill on the way out , and downhill on the way home
In full: This had regular drinking stations, most providing water and glucose sports drinks. Although there are tough uphill stretches from 3-4 and 5-6 miles, these didn't seem too bad as I was fresh, and the glucose drinks gave me the energy to gallop home knocking over 3 mins 30" (over 4%) off my PB. I'll definitely be back next year.
It was also useful that sub 1hr 25 competitors had a special way in to the front of the pack at the start, without having to push through the field.
They could have done with more toilets at the start, I had to pop to the city train station as I was not sure I would make it in time due to the large queue.

In short: Fantastic fun - This will be in the dairy for next year
In full: I just wish I'd done more hills in training. The paths were a little narrow in places which made it a lot of effort to overtake people but I suppose it depends where you are in the pack. Next year I will just have to mek sure I am nearer the front.

I regret that I didn't bump into any other forumites for a pint on O'Neills afterwards. Maybe next year?

In short: Really enjoyed my second time, new PB but really disappointed not to break 2 hours, I'll be back next year fitter & faster. Just looking to see what I can make next, looks like Humber Half due to work commitments, see you there.

In short: Well organised again this year, great support all the way round. A bit hairy down Kirkstall Road on occasions when cars trying to turn into your path would be my only slight complaint.
