In short: Fallen in love again..
In full: After fours years of assorted injurys i was once again able to compete in my favorite UK race
Thank you so much to all the organisers, volunteers & police staff that made the race possible.

Most important thanks to Iromman Sarah who dragged me along the flat & down hill at a mosy uncomfortable pace. I would never have posted the PB i did without you..

In short: Love it, love it, love it
In full: The guys at Beachy did a brilliant job this year. Easy to pick up numbers. Loo queue not too bad. Fab weather out on the course and well stocked checkpoints with cake, mars bars, sausage rolls, crisps and very welcome tea and coffee. But what really makes this event is the runner camaraderie and the bloody amazing marshals some of who must be out there for hours and a still cheery and smiley.

Thank you all for organising a great race. :0)

In full: Came into this race with minimal training (and I mean none) and this enabled me to run it for pure fun and it was.

From the weather, the views, the wind in our faces to the amazing marshalls, food and villagers along this way this race has it all.

Don't bother with London, this is what Marathon running should be about.

DO IT!!

In short: It's not a race it's a war
In full: Ok a little dramatic I know but that is how I feel about this race/war...each hill is a battle to be won and it nearly defeats you on so many occasions. The views are first class, the crowd and organisation brilliant...Would hate to do this race in the rain as you are extremely exposed on the hills...It also take you through some lovely forests, quiet little villages and right to the top of every steep hills the organisers can find....I will go back just not for a while.

In short: Gruelling but worth the effort (this time)!
In full: Another superb race from the Beachy organisers. The Seven *itches seemed even harder than last year with the wind against us as well but at least everyone else was walking up!All the fantastic touches like the free meal afterwards and the plentiful Check Point food supplies were there again. Just don't know if I could put my body though that again!

In short: The best, simply brilliant.
In full: An amazing race, my first marathon and I loved it. Marshals were excellent, food and drink perfect and great support all the way round.

Getting over Beachy Head a fellow runner told me it was all down hill, I dared to believe and it was true. Great finish. Thanks

In short: Just........awesome
In full: Wow. What a great day out. Yes, it's as hard as hell in parts (last 6/7 miles are brutal) but the weather was perfect, the organisation faultless and fellow runners cheerful and sociable.

Good start/finish arrangements, fabulous marshalling (cheery 'well done' from every one), wonderful checkpoints and a nice meal at the end (great chance to chat to fellow runners).

Top rating though goes to the South Downs - on a bright, crystal clear day the views were just sensational. If the organsiers could have ordered weather they would he ordered todays.

Almost impossible to find anything to be improved, but I'm not really sure why chip timing was needed. It's not that kind of race, and I didn't see any split-time mats anywhere. Save a few quid and don't bother......!

Top, top event as usual and thanks and well done to all at Eastbourne Council and others that put this together.

In short: Much tougher than I expected. True test of your resolve to finish this one. Great if your starting to find road marathons dull.

In short: Outstanding but very tough for a marathon novice
In full: Quite simply as brilliant as so many reviews attest. Thank you lone piper and thank you to every single bystander who offered a word of encouragement. Two things would improve it: add another water station at 6 miles so the first is not at almost 9 miles. Secondly, add mile markers for those not wearing distance calculators.
