In short: A hard but very enjoyable race In full: This was my first Beachy Head Marathon, lots of hills, my calf’s just survived! A great race, lovely course worth walking if you don’t want to run it, well organized with lots of friendly marshals and fellow runners, nice touch having the hot food at the end. In short: Superb day out on the downs! In full: This was my first time in the Beachy Head Marathon and I have not been disappointed. Lovely route, plenty of marshals, bagpipe players, two flights of steps, the seven (nasty) sisters and a painfully steep downhill section to the finish. Boy, did I underestimate the last part of the course! But with the perfect weather conditions for running an amazing day out! Date of review: October 27, 2007
