In short: One the best in the country
In full: Another great Worksop Half. Whilst not entirely flat the profile prevents starting too fast and gives a great boost in teh second half and many record PBs here. The organisation was second to none and the goody bag very good value.

Even the weather was just about perfect this year

Will be back in 2012!1

In short: Definitely not flat, but excellent scenery!
In full: Brilliant organization, everything went very smoothly. Lovely scenery, with a lot of the race through Clumber Park. First mile uphill, but at least that's the last mile downhill as well (and lots more undulations in between). Lots of friendly marshals, name checks for most finishers as they crossed the line, and a technical t-shirt as part of the price.

In short: Absolutely Spot On and Beautiful
In full: I am a complete and utter newbie, I have been running for all of 8 weeks really and I took on the challenege of the half marathon at worksop after being inspired by my other half. Everyone was so friendly, approachable and above all, encouraging and supportive throughout the route. It was incredible and so much less commercial than the Robin Hood Half and Full Marathon. There where stewrds who didn't seem to have a clue or be bothered there. The Worksop run was fantastic and I cannot wait to sign up for next year to try and better my time!

Thanks to all involved in the Worksop Half Marathon.

In short: OK, bit expensive for an out of town half-marathon
In full: Not one to moan too much but I think £20 for on the day entry is a bit steep. It's not a big city 1/2 marathon and the small number of drinks stations and total lack of directional signs/arrows around the town to direct runners to the car parks and/or registration was a little dissapointing. If the cost relates to the goody bag, then, yes it was a good one, but I would rather pay less for the running...that's what this should be about, not the t-shirt of sweatband. Nice course though

In short: More hilly than undualting
In full: Up and down, up and down, up and down. Not mega steep but constant.
Well organised, lovely route.
Favourite sign - Don't drink the sponge water, you're hair will fall out.
Second favourite sign - £5 MID race massage.

Just wish i had a new set of joints to run it with.

In short: A very well organised hilly half marathon
In full: This was the first time I had done this race, but probably not my last. Pre race information was excellent, I recieved an e-mail 48 hours prior to the start giving me a list of car parks available, very usefull. There were plenty of friendly marshalls on course and a very uplifting sponge station just after halfway that made me smile. It was good to see the Salvation Army to singing some nice hymns in Clumber Park. The race was hilly and though I came wanting a PB and didn't get it the overall race experience made up for this.

In short: My first half and really enjoyed it
In full: My first half marathon so I have no others to compare it to, but if they are all like this I will be very happy, parking fine, signing in no problems, course interesting and slightly undulating but nothing too bad, marshalling and support brill. I had a fab day and will be back with hopefully a few friends next year. Thankyou.

In short: Excellent race
In full: Well done to the organisers, a great race, I was surprised by how much was held off road through parkland which definitely added to the atmosphere. I didn't notice the uphill at the start until a flew down it at the end!

In short: Will definetly run again next year
In full: It was only my 3rd half but managed to knock 5 mins off my PB. The scenery was really good, countryside and woodland. Really like the T shirt, overall a really good event, will definetly be back next year. Thankyou to all the marshalls and organisers.
