In short: 3rd year running, gets better every year!
In full: 3rd time for me in this race, one of the highlights of the year. Well organised, brilliant race, proper hills, beautiful scenery, excellent goody bag and a superb running top!

This is not for the faint hearted, but you can see why it attracts the likes of Darran Bilton and Tracey Morris. [wonder if they ate all the choccies in their goody bag?]

Well done Nidd Valley, this sets the standard for other races to aim at!

In short: 2nd time doing this race and loved it just as much as the first
In full: Excellent organisation and marshalls. Some tough hills especially the 'Birstwith Beast' but the sign at the bottom of the hill kind of gave away what was coming! Managed to knock 5 1/2 mins of last years time. Excellent goody bag and t-shirt again. Cant fault this race, well done and thanks to Nidd Valley Road Runners

In short: Great Race but extremely challenging for a virtual novice
In full: Only started running at the beginning of the year so only 5 or so 10 miles or longer under my belt. Lovely scenic race but definitely more for the serious runner (preferably with a strong will for hills) as the majority of runners were affiliated to clubs. Wouldn't recommend if you are looking to beat any personal bests but a good challenging run which was well organised with good local support.

In short: superb, friendly run in great rural surroundings
In full: a great 10miler - nice mix of woods & road topped with a great castle finish, amazingly generous goody bag plus superb wicking t-shirt- also must mention the brilliant friendly marshals and enthusiastic bystander support along the route! Back next year definitely.
