In short: An absolute gem!
In full: Weather superb.Marshalling good but could do with a few more around the houses near the end.I don't think that a goody bag is necessary when you got a decent medal and a tee shirt+tea/coffee/sandwiches/biscuits in the hall at the end!Well done to everyone involved.

In short: A faultless marathon!
In full: Fantastic weather, inspiring scenery, flawless organisation, and great support from the town. One of my favourite marathons, and I will be back in 2009.

Fast and flattish course, but important to pace yourself as it's easy to get carried away and go too quick in the first half. A good sized field meant that there was always a runner in sight, and this helped me to keep going in the last few difficult miles.

Thanks to Dugie and the team.

In short: Beautiful Scenery, Definite PB Potential, Very Well Organised
In full: Definite PB course. I lost it at 20 miles but hey what scenery. People where very friendly and supportive all the way round. Jelly Babies everywhere. Lots of water stops and necessary with the temperature. Marshalls were spot on and two gorgeous ladies from Kilmarnock handing out home made energy bars at the end. What more could you ask for.

In short: I had a personal worst marathon time due to injury but will be back -
In full: It's a great race - friendly, beautiful scenery, flat course apart from sneaky wee hill right at the end. Nice t-shirt, water stops great, toilets great, kids with jelly babies just when you need them. All in all a real feel good event.
