In short: Very enjoyable race In full: My second time at this event. The organisation was very good, if a bit chaotic in the main hall. The wait time for timing chip, baggage and toilets were not as bad as imagined when looking at the queues. Nice work by all volunteers. Marshals around the course were encouraging and attentive. Water was handed out efficiently. No goody bag. Cagoule was OK, but personally preferred previous years sweatshirt. Unless I missed it, there was a lack of signs to bus pick-up point. Also, I didn't realise that there were two bus drop-off's, which was confusing because I couldn't see a thing out of the bus windows. Overall, only minor gripes in an otherwise excellent, well organised race. Date of review: December 12, 2011
In short: Well organised. Good facilities. Lovelly marshals. Challenging course. In full: Really fantastic Marshals. Well organised. Only a short queue for the loos. Challenging course but a cracking December race. Highly recommended. The storm jacket momento is a really nice touch too. Date of review: December 11, 2011
In short: Excellent Race In full: I arrived at 0840 and didn't have to queue for anything other than the toilet which was no more than a few minutes. Got my jacket, timing chip and baggage sorted with no delay. Straight into a hot shower after the race, no problems.
Didn't use the buses this year but they seemed to be running perfectly as well.
As usual, I can't fault the organisation of Bedford Harriers and they are a rival club!
Keep it up guys! Date of review: December 11, 2011
In full: First time here and really enjoyed the course. I'm not an experienced runner but didn't find it too tough. Well organised and marshalled - there were queues for chips pre-race, but they moved quickly and not much of a hardship. Date of review: December 11, 2011
