In short: Flat autumn marathon...
In full: Decent enough marathon which is a popular choice for runners as it filled out well before race day.
Facilities at the HQ are good with hot showers, plenty of toilets and bar and plenty of warm changing area.
The course is about as flat as you can get in the UK but does include some longish sections of rough cycle path which are at 13 and 22 miles. Track finish is nice. Scenery is not too bad with some nice villages and sections run alongside the Thames.
Goody bag was perfect contained a banana, mars bar and drink. Race T-shirts could be purchased.
One negative was on course there were no isotonic drinks offered which many far smaller marathons manage to do for far smaller entry fees.

In full: Great race and well organized but energy drinks would have been plus for an event of this size.

In short: An all round good club race
In full: I thoroughly enjoyed my second marathon....25 years after my first! Excellent flat course, plenty of water & supportive marshals. Two points for the organisers to consider, & please accept these constructively. Simply could'nt find the post race massage, no matter who I asked. Also, my support team could'nt find their way to the two lap loop. The one course map available was an OS map, so if you were new to the area there were no road names. Unfortunately the info desk ceased to be after the start. These are minor points, easily changed, & yes, I will be back. Many thsanks to all involved.

In short: Flat, good sized field, well organised.
In full: Even with the loop and lack of hill the course is interesting with some cycleways, the Thames, Didcot power station etc. to keep you amused, the cost is acceptable given the number of police helping with traffic, really well marshalled, lots of drink stations. Go for it!
