In short: Excellent
In full: Excellent race. Organization was spot on. Course was great and fast.Finishing on the track was a great bonus, and all the crowd cheering was great. Will definitely be back for more.

Thanks to all involved in such a great day out.

In short: My first on-road non-big city marathon and I loved it!
In full: Huge thanks to the organisers of this race. Fabulous facilities at the start/finish area and minimal queues for the ladies for a change. Marshalls supportive and helpful. Technical t-shirt. Just the right sort of goody bag. And of course I'm not in the slightest bit influenced by the fact that I got a PB ;-)

In short: Excellent start/finish venue. Friendly and well organised.
In full: It was great starting and finishing on the track. Most of the scenery was enjoyable, although running alongside traffic was tricky at times especially for a short stretch towards the end heading back through the town. The marshalls were great and support along the route, although limited in numbers was enthusiastic and uplifting. There was a good spirit to this event, and the hot showers at the end made it feel even better going home. Just be prepared for the (extra long!) half mile or so through the grounds of the club when you think you are back in the stadium and about to finish!

In short: Horrible, horrible, horrible
In full: A flat course, good organisation and good support around the course. plenty of marshalls. BUT awful course uneven pavements or potholed roads with speedbumps. lots of tight turns to slow you down. Heavy traffic and exhaust fumes, many road crossings and had to wait for cars and cyclists.

In short: As flat as you can get, and pb potential.
In full: Decent event, good standard of runners, a varied course, well marshaled, sufficient water stations, and good race facilities (although long toilet queues before the start).

I suffered a bit today (not quite recovered from a cold) which may dampen my recollection of today's event. I found the course a little uninspiring, not helped ny the poor support from locals. The exception being the Fetch-point which supplied runners with refreshments, and fired us up by their great vocal support -thanks to you all. However, despite the lap around the track at the end, the finish in front of the grandstand and through a proper gantry made it memorable - getting a mention from the race MC also made me feel good at the finish.

Good quality medal and t-shirt, together with free tea/coffee and biscuits at the finish was appreciated by this runner, and some of the more expensive events should take note. Hot showers brought us back to life, but I'm still hobbling like someone 30 years older!

The events calendar will be poorer without events like this, and I hope the local community get behind this race after the superb organisation and hard work from the Abingdon Amblers. Many thanks
