In short: My first half-marathon and I found this a really good run. Friendly, encouraging marshalls.
In full: Only bad point with this run was due to their not being enough toilets available (half-hour queue meant I nearly missed the start). However as this was due to the Changing Rooms not being available due to rebuilding it's not so much of an issue.

Fantastic helpers at the event. It really made a difference being cheered on by such happy people.

In short: Loved the little touches but can't stand laps
In full: Went down for an on the day entry and had no problems with that.

They had the first Gladiator champion as MC and I thought he did a good job.. tho the warm up was fun didn't rate it for a half marathon but have to consider not many events think about this.

Biggest downers for me were the large deviation from planned start time which affected my afternoon, and laps !! Six of them.

I loved the marshalls each with their list of runners and looking to find your name... nice touch.. as they cheered you on. The people were very warm and so I'd recommend to a begginner or someone looking for PB potential

The positioning of water stations was simple but effective and there was plenty of water still after the race.

In short: Great atmosphere & beginers made very welcome
In full: I'm a very organised person & the late start and slightly short course took the edge of the organisation score, get this right and you'd tick all the boxes.

In short: very enjoyable, friendly race..
In full: apart from the 6 mile laps which can be a bit soul-sucking (but as someone else said, it is London after all), i really enjoyed this race. marshall's calling out your name throughout was a big boost as was the guy along the finishing straight, i got my quickest mile of the race at mile 13 - weird..

and i think 12.95 is close enough to official distance, there's quite a bit of weaving and short cuts that probably make up the difference. i really think the garmin parade that've been giving the organisers a hard time should pull their head in...

In short: Good beginners race
In full: A friendly race and fun if you don't mind laps. I made it 13.0 miles - a start under the finish gantry would probably have stretched it to 13.1. My biggest disappointment was to find there is (apparantly) no complete results list like "proper" races.

In short: A London half that is in pleasant surroundings. Organisation a bit haphazard
In full: The positives: in London, near public transport, very friendly organisers, occasionally great motivitating boosts (named encouragement from marshalls and the bloke at the end was hilariously brilliant at eliciting a sprint finish from everyone).
The negatives: six times around the same course (but if that means I can do a half in London, that's fine), I'd agree it was short (Garmin said 12.95) and please start on time (we got going after 11am). Why not start at 10am on the nose? No reason not to and then it won't take up a huge chunk of the day. All in all, I enjoyed it, strong and friendly atmosphere.

In short: This was my first time having been recommended by a friend
In full: He was correct in saying it was a very friendly race but where was the terric organisation that he raved about. It was ok but could have been so much better especially with the course being a bit short, it made it hard to measure like with like

In short: Doing laps for 13 miles is a bit monotonous, but they did warn you of that before hand...

In short: Such a waste of time - I agree with comments on organisation before the race
In full: I sent an email to UFdance asking for advice regarding an injury and all I got in reply was a one line email from Bob saying I could book on day, with no reference to my injury. So I turned up and when I read the disclaimer which absolves all responsibility, I asked someone on the desk for advice. Unfortunately, they said they couldn't advice me as they had no expertise but also they couldn't suggest someone there with the expertise. Now I appreciate that all races are entered at your own risk and also appreciate the disclaimer is a standard one, but if this had been covered in the email reply it could have saved me a wasted journey from Hampshire.
