In short: The hardest road run that I have done to date!
In full: With the cost of fuel - and the governments new statement of intention about charging toll electronically for every mile you drive - I probably will not be able to afford to travel to far away events like this one. That iz a shame!

In short: It's impossible to sum this race up into one line!
In full: I ran this for the first time last year and even though it's one of the toughest ultras on road I went back for more this year, and knocked 36 minutes off last year's time!

The organisation and support was fantastic and runners are made to feel really special, before during and after the race.

And yes...everything hurts, but the experience more than makes up for it.

The icing on the cake for me this year was winning my category!

I'll be back :)

In short: Fatastic race, superb support
In full: Running at the back I thought I'd be running a very lonely race. How very wrong I was. The marshalls were great, the st Johns ambulance was continually checking up, the guy in the radio car cheered me up that many hills I felt I had known him for years and the photographer was, I'm sure, lurking in the bushes constantly, jumping out whenever I started walking. And that's not to mention the RW Forum's own photo & video wagon.

Immense congratulations to the organisers and all involved for an absolutely fantastic time.

In short: Just a fantastic day, and part of a fab weekend away in Devon
In full: Difficult to rate from the point of view of PB potential - how often do we run 32.4 miles . . or Beginner-friendliness - how many beginners have heard of ultras?

Lessons learnt at my first attempt last year enabled me to beat my previous time by 31 minutes.

Fab atmosphere . . over 10% of the 150 entrants were Forumites . . run through beautiful countryside . . big helpings of food at the Plume of Feathers . . and of course a disco/party on the evening of the race . .

a special event . .

In short: My first ultra and they probably don't come any better than this.
In full: If you're looking for a challenge beyond the marathon, this is far enough and hilly enough to test anyone. The Dartmoor landscape is awesome, the race organisation brilliant and the cameraderie among all competitors, experienced and novice alike, leaves a warm glow. A must-do event at some time in every distance runner's life.
