In short: Huge improvement
In full: Fair's fair. Last year we all had a go at this race but it was fixed this year. Plenty of room, quietly marshalled, goody bag worthwhile, and a PB into the bargain.
Thanks to the organisers

In short: Enjoyable, scenic and fast race!
In full: Having heard so many slanderous tales of last year's Edinburgh half marathon I was dubious about traveling all the way from Cardiff for this but I am happy to say i was most definately worth it!! The organisation was incredible- in particular the start/finish enclosure, the course was well marshalled by friendly and encouraging people and the course was really nice, not too gruelling and fast going! Water stations were plentiful and lucozade station was well placed (though, if I had to make one criticism I'd say to seperate lucozade and water to allow runners to drink energy drink then rinse down with water 100m further down course!). I would definately do this race again and encourage other runners to join the fun too! I got a PB of 1h 43- 8 mins off my last PB!!!

In short: The best run I have done. Really enjoyed it.
In full: I did the Liverpool Half last week and the contrast was staggering. Edinburgh ran like clockwork, set off at the stated time and was well supplied with water and energy drinks. Liverpool set off 20 minutes late, had two water stations which had enough water for about half the runners. Well done Edinburgh Forthside.

In short: Absolutely first class
In full: My first time, but not my last. This was well organised, well signed and cheerful. Route was interesting, and spectacular scenery in some parts.

In short: What a difference a year makes. Much much better. A very enjoyable race
In full: Only a few minor gripes. Well organised. Good start and finish. Route could be improved - lots of 180 deg turns and tight turn near the finish. Was taking splits at every mile and 2 of them were less than 5:30; which I don't believe. I'm presuming the mile markers were just in the wrong place and the route was 13.1 ? A great day out and a PB to boot.

In short: Was this the same race as last year?...Fantastic organisation in 2007!
In full: Well done to the organisaers after last year's poor debut. This was fantactically organised, went like clockwork and eveyone seemed to be smiling. Ocean Terminal is a great start/finish and I even ran a PB!

In short: Good race, good venue, much better than 2006.
In full: The organisers have taken on board all the comments from last year - the organisation was very slick this year. Ocean Terminal is a good venue, easy to get to by public transport and plenty of places for coffee or lunch afterwards. The east wind along the foreshore was a bit cruel but the route is good, even scenic in places. A nice way to spend a Sunday morning.
