In short: 2 hours plus to get to the A27 was the only downside
In full: The 3 wave start worked very well. The wind behind for the last 2 miles was the winner, how do they manage this every year?!

I done this last year in 1.48, this year I went round in 1.29.13. 47 minutes at 5 miles, 42 mins for the 2nd half.

My last mile must have been under 8 mins, I can't run that fast!!!!

In short: After a 16 year absence this has got me going again
In full: After deciding three weeks ago to don my trainers and start running again to get my body back into trim (after a 16 year absence and various illness along the way)i had one weeks notice about this race! It has to be the best race i have been involved in and i felt the huge support i got off not only spectators but also from other runners when i experienced problems just before the second water station kept me going! It warmed my heart to see such friendliness out there and i for one will never look back im totally converted back to running!

In short: Great race, my favourite so far.
In full: Good organisation, didn't feel too crowded even though there were so many people, and getting over the start was very quick. And the wind was blowing in the right direction for once!

In short: Placing in wave bands seems very arbitrary.
In full: How were the wave bands worked out? I estimated 1:25, did 1:25, and was put in the slowest wave band. Spent the entire race trying to get past people (sometimes walking 3-4 abreast in the middle of the road) and but for that would have got nearer 1:20. Incredibly frustrating.... I shall never put a realistic finish time on a race application again, since it appears most other people don't!
