In short: Not Bad
In full: First time at this event and found the start very congested with many runners again exagerating their pb times so much passing to be done on narrow paths. One small incline but nothing to worry about, course more for speed but mainly for the fast runners at the front. It was well organised though I guess, quite a dull course and not sure if I will be back next year.

In short: Fast flat 10k but rather dull course
In full: It is a very flat 10 - just one very short incline which isnt going to make much difference to your speed. Its very crowded at the start and the paths narrow, but after about 1k people begin to spread out.

I found the course rather dull as 75% of the lap is a flat, straight line before going round a post and coming back the way you came. It can almost become demoralising at times.

I think its one of those courses that isnt the most enjoyable but designed purely for speed.

In short: Fast course with a few drawbacks
In full: Nice fast course, although I think PB potential is a tad over-rated. Congested at the start, the mid field took a good mile to thin enough for overtaking. Paths a bit narrow, although if everyone keeps to the left that it is less of a problem. A bit slippery in places - thank goodness it wasn't icy this year! Plenty of parking space, the start was easy to get to. Handy arena/track for warming up, right next to the start. A bit cramped at the finish for spectators. Organisation and marshalling was good. Atmosphere OK.

In short: too many people for such a narrow cource
In full: well organised nice race, my only complaint is the number of runners 500 is to many for those narrow paths especially at the beginning. Also the 360 turn seriously reduces your pb potential if seconds count, consider it more a competitve workout than a race.

In short: Enjoyable race
In full: My first 10k race, and knocked 4 mins of my training PB, Great race, I liked the turning back, as it meant you got to see the elite runners going round, although it did knock your stride at the turn. Will run it next year.

In short: Good, fast course, well-organised.
In full: Minor flaws...

1)Too busy at the start with 500 runners.
2)Paths are slippery in places.
3)U-turns don't help times.
4)Running on paths sharing the path with runners coming the other way... had to dodge people occasionally. Maybe OK if only 250/300 in race.

Good points...

1)Well organised, with a good standard field.
2)PB Potential, however there are faster courses (Trafford for one!).
3)Friendly atmosphere with a good mix of elite runners and joggers.

In short: Good end to the year
In full: Nice flat(ish) course through the park. Definate PB potential and some good encouragement along the way from spectators and marshalls. Certainly on of the most friendly races I have done this year.

In short: Great race in my home town
In full: This was a well oragnised race on a pretty fast course. The marshalls were encouraging, and the atmosphere good. The start was a bit congested and it took a while for the field to spread out.
