In short: Apart from that Fen wind a fantastic event.
In full: Ok, the weather is outside of the organisers control so that they cannot take the blame for.
this is a nice fast course with only 2 A road flyovers and a long gentle slope.
I met a few new friends and loved the event. not huge on atmosphere as the run is out in the country and weather was not conducive to a massed cheering support. But, a hearty welcome was given to the finishers along the last 400m.

In short: found it hard to find through lack of signs, but once arrived well organised. good solid marshalling. wind was bit blowy in places but a good course made good pb potential none the less

In short: this event has POTENTIAL
In full: Everyone was a little confused about the start as normally the wheel chairs are set off 1st then the main group of runners, so when the gun went off no one was sure if it was for the main group or not!!! especially if you where near the back of the runners

BUT this event could be pure speed, with just a couple of inclines over roads, if the wind was a little less then this 10miler could be very quick and is ideal for 1st timers BUT hey the event is out in the FENLAND'S, so you have to put up with the weather, today was ALMOST perfect weather wise.

the organizers need to invest in a loud haler so ALL the runners in the event know whats going on instead of guessing

I'll be back next year if only to beat todays time, which on this course I WILL

In short: First race for 16 or 17 years. I enjoyed it.
In full: This was my first race for 16 or 17 years. Bit daunting at the start with all the club runners and I did think what am I doing here!! However once it started it was great to be back running with a number on my front.
Marshalled well and drinks available where they said they were going to be. I enjoyed the day - thanks Fenland Runners.

In short: Excellent event, ideal for a possible PB if the Fen weather allows!!
In full: Always a well organised event, mens loo's at the school were poor, but other than that a good event. Huge PB potential if the Fen weather allows on a totally flat course.
Organisers to be congratulated on correcting initial error in some time being "one runner out". My time was then spot on with the organisers - thanks!!
Everyone knows the 8th and 9th mile boards were out of position although it was a mile between 8 and 9, they payback came in a short 10th mile, just when you need it!!
