In short: Very tough course, but excellent with hindsight
In full: For the 50 minutes I was running, I thought it was hell, but the sense of achievement when it was completed was much better than your average 10k road race. If BMF organise another, will definitely be there.

In short: Tough race over sandy trails with short but sharp hills, and quite a few water challenges to run through! Excellent location over a military training area. Will definitely do it again!
In full: 14 October 2006. This was something different! Very challenging course with some real killer hills. The winning time of 42 minutes was over 20% more than the winners usual time, which gives you an idea of how tough the course was. The organisation was smooth and the course well sign posted, facilities basic but sufficient. Pleasant, relatively small number of contestants so no risk of congestion. Hope to see this race back in next year's calendar!

In short: Used to running on the road, so this was tough.
In full: Well organised event. Low key but year one so should grow. And a bit pricey. Definitely a challenge over variable terrain - sand and the occasional pond to run through. Supportive marshals. Needed to be as some of the hills were quite tough to scramble up let alone run. Must admit I'd thrown in the towel by hill 7 so will probably have another go.
