In short: very slow and disorganised start. queuing for the finish line in the rain wasn't fun. The route was actually single-file at points, so very slow. Would not do it again.

In short: Poorly organised start and finish, too crowded on a narrow course
In full: There was no organisation at the start, runners and non-runners were just stood in a giant crowd making it impossible to get into a decent stride especially as the course was so narrow. Runners at the back of the field faced long queues, and couldn't even run across the finish line as the queue was back onto the course. Ridiculous! Good charity, but they need to change the course to make it better for runners.

In short: Do it for the doughnut!
In full: An excellent race, although the very warm weather for the 2004 event made the hills all the steeper. A two lap course with a fair climb to Ally Pally park (twice, obviously) and a flatter bit around the back of Hornsey and the glories of the Wood Green sewage works, a couple of bottlenecks but nothing serious. Free doughnut at the end and great atmos in the park for start/finish.
