In short: Scenic course spoilt by atrocious organisation
In full: From arriving the organisation of this race was shambolic. There were no signs from the carpark to the start line and there were no where near enough toilets for the shear amount of runners. The start was advertised for 10 O'clock but was at least 5 minutes late with no one but the runners at the front being able to hear what was being said over the loud speakers. When the race actually started it wasn't even possible to hear and one runner summed it up by saying oh is that it? have we started? Throughout the race itself the marshalls were friendly and the course was accurate according to my GPS. Everything seemed ok until the finish where a massive que had formed about 100 metres from the finish so you couldn't even cross the finish line and friends who came to support didn't get to see you finish. If you did try to cross the finish line you got shouted at by other runners in the que to get to the back which is fair enough as they would have finished first. Official times were taken when you crossed the finish line but this took at least 5 minutes from finishing so they were far from accurate. After another 5 minutes or so in the que waiting to collect my T-shirt all they had left were small T-shirts which I can't even get over my head!!! Overall I was completely dissapointed with the organisation of the race and will certainly not do this event again since it cost £12 and was not an enjoyable experience!

In short: Far Too Many Runners! Was better when low key.
In full: Great course but this year too many runners spoiled the race. Go back to number you can manage. Was a first race for one person with me, loved the run hated the finish.

In short: Great event for beginners and countryside lovers!
In full: This was a well attended race with a huge range of abilities on show. The organisation was good albeit a bit WRVS/Dad's Army. T-shirt was good. The course should have made use of some of the broader roads within the estate to avoid the congestion around the start/finish/t-shirt area. All in all, a good warm up for the Worksop Half Marathon which will make better use of the estate.

In short: Lovely location
In full: Lovely 10K. Really good for beginners due to the large turnout.

The start was too congested though. I started at what i thought was near to the front but it still took an age to actually cross the start line. it then took 2K to be able to run freely.

That aside I really enjoyed the race - what a smashing location.
