In short: Very quick course even with the slopes , good first year !! In full: No real problems , just the generous clock at the end was a bit of an anti-climax . This event should get more popular by the year . Well done Tadley runners . Date of review: October 18, 2006
In short: Scenic, well organised and enjoyable In full: My first ever 10 mile race and thoroughly enjoyed it, 5 minutes inside my target time. Pleasant, scenic route with gentle inclines, supportive marshalls and a nice round of applause at the end despite the low number of entries. Hope it continues and grows. In short: Very friendly people, lovely scenery, well organised. Quality medal. Mildly challenging but could do with a couple of really steep hills to give it an identity to remember. Date of review: October 16, 2006
In short: Excellent first race In full: Really enjoyed it, great scenery (apart from 1st and last mile), encouraging and friendly marshalls and there were 3 drinks stations.Course is undulating, nothing too severe, but PB potential. Disappointing turnout but no reason why this should not grow and grow. Date of review: October 16, 2006
In short: A very relaxing race due to variety of scenery, plenty plenty of signage, friendly marshalls In full: Inaugural race but clearly experienced people who set it up. The quiet, gently undulating scenery kept my interest. Definitely three not two water stations! Race venue was sign-posted from nearby roundabout which was appreciated. And I got a PB.
In short: An enjoyable and very friendly race. In full: First running of this lovely 10 miler over quiet rural North Hampshire lanes. I'm very glad to have been part of it. Friendly officals and fellow runners. Supportive helpful marshalls, and drinks stations manned by enthusiastic young people from the ATC - my personal thanks to you all. Without your help and support the rest of us wouldn't have events like these to run and enjoy. Only a small field today but I'm sure that it will grow. I'll be back next year and I'll recommend it to all in my club. Date of review: October 15, 2006
In short: A few minor teething troubles, but an excellent first attempt at a much needed 10 mile. Roll on 2007! In full: The first one of these and I enjoyed it. It was an interesting and genuinely gently undulating course on quiet country roads. The marshalls were very supportive and I got a pb. The niggles? - well the entry form I had said a 10.30 start and it was changed to 10 (still made it to the start in time though), I only counted 2 drink stations when we were promised 3, and the time on the clock at the finish looked a bit generous to me. These are all minor points though and I'm sure all will be sorted out for next year. The event deserves more support and I'll certainly be there next year. Date of review: October 15, 2006
