In short: Always a pleasure to do this race! In full: This has to be one of the best races of the year, well organised, well marshalled & a great finishing memento (a decent back pack, rather than some crummy medal). Even hot showers in changing rooms.
Will definitely be back for more next year. Date of review: January 18, 2010
In short: Very well organised race with lots of friendly marshalls. In full: This race is very well organised, from the baggage drop to the marshalls on the course. The parking was an interesting one as we were (literally) led all around the houses but ended up within a decent walking distance of the race HQ. The scenery is disappointing for the 1st couple of miles and the last (even more so) but the bit in the middle makes up for it which is lovely undulating country lanes. Not too tough, just challenging enough. Date of review: January 18, 2010
In short: Seemed more uphill than down and the ups are long and round corners!shame no medalll In full: I did not get a race number in the post so had to attach it on the day together with another on the back, no real problem though and well organised. As with others expected a medal and disapointed by what I had thought was going to be a running bag not a one arm gym sack with advertising on. Marshals friendly and polite and course well marked, a good welcome back to running in the new year after the snow but a challenge. Date of review: January 18, 2010
In short: Great race, hills yes, most organised race of the year! In full: There are hills, the hill at last mile does push you a little (!).. but its got everything hills, flats, down hills, good mix. But the organisation is second to none, you turn up, park, bag drop, changing everything no hassle - its all there for you - brill race will do this every year.. Date of review: January 18, 2010
In short: varied scenery and terrain with some tough lengthy climbs! In full: A large field and very well organised. Encouraging marshals and a kitbag that is neither use nor ornament! The only let down of a pleasant race. Surely a medal or a t-shirt? Or a bag that fits more than a pair of socks and a shower gel?! Date of review: January 17, 2010
