In short: tough and hilly In full: My 4th time doing the run, I had a PB by 2.5mins so forget a normal half PB and aim for the course PB. Great hills, windy conditions and smiles on the water givers! What more could you ask for on a sunday morning. I think eyam just pips this one for toughness?? Date of review: May 26, 2008
In short: Tough In full: Hilly and was very windy in the exposed parts. The second major climb was particularly difficult just after 7 miles. Pleasant start and finish area. Nice T-shirt. Date of review: May 25, 2008

In short: Good race. Hilly but not too hilly. In full: An enjoyable race. Some testing climbs especially when running into the wind. One stretch running through a valley where the scenery was glorious - the run was worth it for that mile alone.
A shame about some of the impatient car drivers pushing through on the narrow roads. Date of review: May 25, 2008

In short: Very tough run and very windy. In full: The marshalls were terrific, friendly and very encouraging. When I asked at the water station at 6 miles if the run got any easier, the marshall just smiled sympathetically. I then turned the next corner to face the hardest climb in the race! Overall a great way to spend a Sunday morning. Date of review: May 25, 2008
