In short: It put Glastonbury to shame in the mud stakes. Fantastic fun!
In full: Despite the apocalyptic conditions this was one of the most enoyable races I've done. It would have been easy to have cancelled the entire event so huge credit to the organisers for managing to stage a race at all, and especially to the marshalls for braving the deluge to cheer everyone on. The atmosphere at the start - and afterwards in the hall - was fantastic. I'll be back in 2009!

In short: Disappointing.
In full: Granted nothing could have been done about the weather but surely an announcement could have been made via the website that the course was to be changed to two laps of a 5k, mostly road, course.

In short: In spite of the rain and a change of course- this was a fantastic event.
In full: Well done Graham and Claire! In spite of all the problems with the weather and the rerouting of the course, the event was well organised and fantastic fun. The marshalls were amazing-smiling and encouraging inspite of everything. Only the British would stand dancing to a steel band at the end of a race, whilst totally covered in mud and soaked to the skin!See you again next year.

In short: Top marks for effort - nearly!
In full: It was such a shame about the rain - if the event had been a day either side the original course would have been 100% viable. I visit The Lakes frequently and have never seen so much water on the ground. A great effort by the organisers to put on anything at all, much less a fully marshalled 11k race. Shame - again - about the loud music in the barn - drowned out any post race chat and was painful - through sheer volume - to my ears. A special thank you to all the marshals who were heroic.

In short: You can only get so wet!
In full: Massive thanks and awe for even getting a race started in the conditions.....I know the Lakes can be wet, but good grief!
Usual fantastic atmosphere and beyond the call of duty support from the marshalls who smiled on inspite of the torrents.
My kit, shoes and car will never be dry again, but who knew
you could have so much fun in the mud.
Thanks again to Graham and the VO2 crew for their efforts;
2 events bashed by the weather in a month is a lot to put up with.

In short: Mud-tastic!
In full: Cheers to the marshals who, despite the wind, rain and temperatures, were cheerful and encouraging. Well done to all involved!

In short: Excellent response to attrocious weather
In full: Despite attrocious conditions every effort was made to allow a race to take place, I was very implressed with the organisation that goes behind being able to adapt so well, and it is reflected in the whole series. Although the wether dampened the views it was still a memorable experience, 2 days later my shoes are still drying out !

In short: Despite all the problems casued by the weather, I stil lloved it.
In full: Despite problems caused by the extreme weather and mountain rescue vetoing the usual course, the organisers still managed to put on a great event.

How can you not enjoy running through mud, swollen streams and floods?! :-)
