In short: This is the place my running year starts
In full: This time last week there seemed no chance the race would happen - the Race Director sent three E Mails updating runners with the course conditions (especially after the snow on Wednesday).

This is my 6th attempt and I am delighted that I now have 4 coasters (which constitutes a set in my family). With the poor weather curtailing my training and the after effects of man flu I wasn't really looking forward to this race - that was until I arrived at the well appointed race HQ & saw a few familiar faces.

This is the friendliest race I do, both in terms of the marshals and fellow runners.

The course isn't flat but IMO is an excellent early season test and encouragement to put in some hard training over the next few months.

Well done Stratford AC and all runners.

In short: A very enjoyable, and fairly challenging Race.
In full: It was a lovely race and the weather was perfect.
I found it quite narrow at the beginning and it was quite hard to go round people but after that it was very pleasant running. The Marshall's were very encouraging and supportive!

In short: Lovely Weather & Scenary and a good way to kick-start the year
In full: weather was far better than hoped for. Course was lovely and scenic which took away the pain that comes when you do not train for 3 weeks due to snow and illness.

Good cheerful marshalls too

In short: Great fun race with some good challenging hills
In full: Disappointing toilet provision, last minute ban on MP3s and goodie bag, t-shirt Printed with runners's names was a nice touch bit cost an extra £7. The race itself though was great fun and plenty of positive, cheering marshalls

In short: Very well organised challenging course
In full: Great start to the 2010 races. Very well organised and excellent communication in the lead up to the race. Annoying to delay the start by 5 minutes because people can't pull their finger out and get to the start on time. Good challenging course
