In short: Really nice race, agree with all the positive comments on the marshalls. Bit tough for a novice but not out of this world tough. Better start/finish location would make it a great event other than that see you next year!

In short: My first 10 miler - enjoyed every minute - I think!
In full: The friendliness and encouragement of the other runners really helped. Marshalls were friendly and also encouraging. Only slight, and I mean slight criticism was at HQ, not many marshalls to point you in the direction of the start, there were a few of us wandering around, slightly lost!! Will definitely be back next year! Thanks to everyone

In short: Testing new course
In full: Enjoyed it once again - my third Fred Hughes, but it's a different proposition on this constantly up and down course. A well organised event, though I do agree with the comments about the start which did not seem to me to be a good place from which to attempt to start 600 people. (Nor was the previous one.) The HQ was an improvement and the marshalls gave the impression that they truly wanted to be there which is welcome - thanks. The puzzle for me was why there were 200 fewer finishers than last year. The race was said to be full so maybe the maximum field has been reduced?

In short: Great route through some really nice countryside. Hills are mildly challenging without being a killer. This was my first non-marathon race and I really enjoyed myself. Beat my best expectations by 6 minutes!

In full: Only my second 10 miler and i thoroughly enjoyed it. The start was very cramped but once it widened out it was an enjoyable run. The stewarding was friendly and capable and we were directed around flooded parts of the road with ease. I will definitely be back next year.

In short: Twas a good race. Well organised but challenging. Would do it again but it might not be for beginners as it could be a bit intimidating as most people seemed to be club runners.
